	*DHS Department of Choral Arts* The Duluth choirs have a long tradition of excellence in the state of Georgia and abroad. They have performed throughout metropolitan Atlanta, New York City, New York; Nashville, Tennessee; Disney World, Orlando, Florida; and The Grand Bahama Islands as well as six international concert tours throughout Europe. Each year the choirs participate in the Georgia Music Educator’s Association State Large Group Performance Evaluation where they consistently receive the top ratings of “Superior”. Duluth is also very well represented in the GMEA All-State Choirs, Honors Choruses and GHSA Music Literary events yearly.

		Greg S. Smith, Conductor Greg S. Smith is in his seventh year as Director of Choral Activities at Duluth High School. Mr. Smith holds a Master of Choral Music Education degree from Florida State University. He has served as Georgia Music Educator's Association District Chairperson and is a life member of the American Choral Director's Association. He is also a member of the International Federation of Choral Music, The Shalloway Foundation, Georgia Music Educator's Association, Music Educator's National Conference and the Professional Association of Georgia Educators. He has been listed 10 times in Who's Who Among American High School Teachers and has been a finalist for teacher of the year. Mr. Smith has conducted multiple honor choirs in Georgia ranging from elementary to high school and college and has been an active adjudicator and choral clinician in the southeastern United States. He is a GMEA certified Head Adjudicator.
In his 21 years as a choral music educator, his choirs have received Superior ratings at the GMEA State Choral Festivals every year and have performed at the GMEA state conference as the headlining group. In addition to the state festivals, his choirs have consistently taken top honors across the world in national and international competitions. Mr. Smith has studied with Rodney Eichenburger, Ned DeJournett, Andre Thomas, Judy Bowers, and Kevin Fenton.
